Janice is in the top 10% of all San Francisco residential real estate agents in terms of sales and completed 20 transactions in 2010. She has also acted as a principal and has bought and sold numerous homes, including the expansion of an investment property as well as a multi-unit building currently in the process of condo conversion.
Prior to entering the real estate business, Janice successfully created and managed After School Programs and International Internship Programs, managing a budget of $500,000 and a staff of 30 +. She taught English in China to Foshan TV executives, consulted senior management at the Majestic Hotel - a five star hotel in Vietnam - and participated in the Management Development Program at PepsiCo-Vietnam. Janice speaks fluent Cantonese and conversational Mandarin.
Janice has a Bachelor of Arts, Cum Laude in International Relations and Asian Studies from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. As a student, she studied Intensive Chinese through Princeton in Beijing at Beijing Normal University and Hamilton College's Associated Colleges in China. Janice also attended Hong Kong University where she studied Finance, Economics and Politics. Janice has taken Investment Analysis and Tax Consequences of Real Estate and has a Management Certificate from City College of San Francisco. Janice is certified in Short Sales and Foreclosures, and has a firm grasp of San Francisco Rent Control laws as well as the plans and permits process at the Building Department.
Janice gives back to her community. She's a founding member of the Summer Search Bay Area Alumni Board, created to keep alumni connected through volunteerism and a growing support network. As a past recipient and current Board member of the renowned City Club of San Francisco Margaret O'Donnell Student Leadership Scholarship, Janice heads up Alumni Relations and is charged with the advancement of the Alumni Program.
