Hi my name is Val Vandervort. Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about me. I have been selling real estate in the mid-peninsula towns for several years now. Before that I worked in the biotech field in a lab in Palo Alto and prior to that I was a high school science teacher. It is my background as a teacher that has helped me the most in my real estate career. It takes passing on a lot of information, teaching essentially, to both buyers and sellers to give them a firm understanding of what is happening in the local real estate market so they can make decisions that best suit them. I loved teaching and I love the educating that I get to continue to do as a realtor. I have a Master in Education that specialized in science education and I got a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Puget Sounds, a small private school in Washington state. Part of my real estate business is giving back to the community. I give 5% of every commission to the charity of my client's choice.
